Spain’s September CPI Climbs to 5.0%, Up from 4.9% in August
Spain’s consumer price index rose to 5.0% year‑on‑year in September, according to data released by the National Institute of Statistics (INE). The increase represents a modest uptick from the 4.9% rise recorded in August and reflects higher energy costs, particularly gasoline and heating fuel. The uptick has prompted analysts to watch for potential adjustments in the European Central Bank’s policy stance.
