Gold has slipped under the key $4,000 support level, currently hovering at $4,015.58 – a 0.50% rise of 19.95 points from the previous close. The metal’s descent is part of a broader downward channel that has drawn attention from investors.
Silver also moved higher, trading at $54.20, up 0.47% (0.251 points). Energy markets saw modest declines: WTI crude fell 1.84% to $101.37, while Brent dropped 1.44% to $110.09.
Base metals were largely flat. Copper edged up 0.20% to $6.5207, and aluminium gained 0.27% to $3,055.55. Natural gas slipped 0.98% to $3.020.
These movements reflect a cautious stance among traders as markets weigh economic data and geopolitical developments, with precious metals offering a hedge against volatility while energy prices adjust to supply‑demand dynamics.
