European Shares Gain on Schneider Optimism, Inflation Data Awaited
European equities edged higher on Thursday as investor sentiment was buoyed by comments from industry analyst Schneider, who highlighted a stronger-than-expected earnings outlook for the Eurozone. While the STOXX 600 and the DAX rose modestly, the market remains on edge as traders await the latest inflation figures.
In the commodities arena, gold traded at $4,183.82, up 13.18 points or 0.32%. Silver moved up 0.684 points to $57.84, a gain of 1.20%. Crude oil was mixed: WTI fell 0.48 points to $97.49 (‑0.49%) while Brent slipped 0.31 points to $105.61 (‑0.29%). Copper rose 0.0623 points to $6.6188 (0.95%) and aluminium gained 22.15 points to $3,007.15 (0.74%). Natural gas slipped 0.055 points to $3.181, a decline of 1.70%. These movements reflect a cautious but hopeful market stance ahead of the inflation data release.
