SigmaRoc Shares Surge 12% Following Robust H1 Results and Lithuanian Expansion
Shares in European lime and minerals specialist SigmaRoc (LON: SRC) experienced a sharp rally during Monday’s early trading session, climbing 12.8% to reach 144.7p after closing at 128.3p on Friday. The positive market sentiment followed a dual announcement detailing strong interim financial performance and a strategic international acquisition. For the six-month period ending 30 June, SigmaRoc reported a 2.5% increase in revenue to £523.1m, while underlying EBITDA climbed 11.3% to £131.2m. This growth expanded the firm's margin by 200 basis points to 25.1%, with underlying earnings per share rising to 5.23p from 4.66p. Alongside these results, the company announced the €110m purchase of Lithuanian dolomite producer AB Dolomitas, which is expected to close in the fourth quarter. Financially, the group has strengthened its balance sheet, reducing net debt to £462.6m and securing a new €825m revolving credit facility to support future growth. CEO Max Vermorken highlighted the company's deleveraging progress and resilient volume growth, while management reaffirmed its full-year guidance of £1,066m in revenue and £276m in EBITDA.
