Volkswagen Initiates Recall of 208,000 Cars Over Steering Bolt Issue
Volkswagen has announced a recall affecting more than 208,000 vehicles after discovering a defect in a steering bolt that could compromise the steering system. The recall covers models produced between 2019 and 2022, including the Golf, Passat, and Tiguan. The defective bolt, if it loosens, could lead to a loss of steering control. Owners are instructed to bring their vehicles to an authorized Volkswagen dealer for a free inspection and replacement of the steering bolt. The company has emphasized that the recall is a precautionary measure to ensure driver safety and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
