WTI Oil Holds Above $96.50 Support as MACD Signals Bearish Trend
The West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude benchmark is trading just above the critical $96.50 support level, with the moving‑average convergence divergence (MACD) indicator confirming a bearish bias. At the time of writing, WTI sits at $97.00, down 2.02 points or 2.04 % from the previous close.
Brent crude follows a similar path, trading at $107.19, down 2.67 points or 2.43 %.
In the metals arena, gold remains strong at $4,182.29, up 16.89 points or 0.41 %. Silver is up 0.395 points, a 0.69 % gain, to $57.70.
Copper is marginally higher, trading at $6,593.80, up 0.0203 points or 0.31 %. Aluminum, however, has slipped to $2,986.50, a decline of 22.00 points or 0.73 %.
Natural gas is near flat, at $3.111, down 0.005 points or 0.16 %. These levels reflect a cautious market stance amid ongoing geopolitical and supply‑chain uncertainties.
Investors should monitor the WTI support zone and MACD signals closely, as a break below $96.50 could trigger further downside for the energy sector.
